My name is Guilherme Campos Barroso. I graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the Federal University of Paraná. I have always had a passion for sports and surgery. I saw in orthopedics the possibility of combining these two passions. I specialized in Orthopedics and during this period I became interested in the area of knee surgery. It was then that I completed a specialization in knee surgery at the Novo Mundo Hospital in Curitiba, Brazil and a Fellowship in knee surgery and cartilage transplantation at the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute in the USA. After finishing the specialization, I worked at Clínica Artro as a specialist in knee surgery and as a doctor for the football team of Clube Athlético Paranaense, Brazil. Feeling the need to delve even deeper into the study of sports physiology, I came to Portugal to do a master's degree in Sports Medicine at the University of Coimbra. The passion for football led me to take the Football Medicine Course at the University of Porto and to accept the proposal to head the clinical department of União Desportiva Vilafranquese, where I was for 3 seasons. I currently work in the area of sports traumatology and knee surgery.
